This day was so special to me in a lot of ways. Taylor and Zach booked me for their St. Patty’s Day wedding at the beginning of 2017, so this Irish girl was already excited for over a year. They couldn’t have been sweeter when we met, and I had so much fun hanging with them at their engagement session. As if that weren’t enough to get me excited, this way my first wedding of 2018 and as a married girl myself (which meant more tears than usual). Lastly, St. Patrick’s Day also happens to be the wedding anniversary of Jane + Dave. They were married for 59 years so I know Taylor and Zach are in good company. I thought of J+D all day and how their love story inspired so much, including my documenting the love stories of so many wonderful couples. I enjoyed so much talking to Taylor’s grandfather, who when checking out my wedding rings, told me his wife never took off her wedding band until she had to for a surgery. This hit me in the heart, because my grandma Jane never took off her wedding band from until she had to for a surgery! It’s why I have yet to and never plan to take off my wedding ring. Anywho all this to say.. in addition to a hilarious bridal party (these groomsmen gave me a shock when I turned around to find them all unzipping their pants to proudly display st. patty’s boxers), two wonderful families that made me feel like a guest, the kindest groom, and a gorgeous bride with the most contagious laugh, I couldn’t have started this year of weddings off with a better one. Without any further babbling, I give you my favorites of Taylor + Zach.
